What is The Natural Rearing Breeder’s Association?
We are a premier organization comprised of like-minded breeders and animal health professionals dedicated to the principles of rearing our dogs as close to nature as possible. Only incorporating complementary medicine and preventative treatments and only as needed. We promote a healthy lifestyle to support the complete dog (mind, body and spirit) while promoting an awareness for our changing world.
Why Should I Join The NRBA?
The Natural Rearing Breeder’s Association stands for INTEGRITY. This association consists of breeders dedicated to the natural rearing of quality, pure bred dogs. This includes feeding a raw, natural diet along with no vaccinations (at the very least – minimal) and raising the dogs in a loving environment full of stimulation to produce smart, intelligent, healthy dogs. Our members are dedicated to the ethical treatment of dis-ease of the mind, body, emotions and spirit using complementary and/or alternative health methods. Our members are ‘approved’ breeders who have agreed to and signed our Code of Ethics as well as members who have degrees, registered, licensed or certified professionals in alternative animal health field(s) dedicated to life, health and longevity of dogs.
All members have proven track-records and experience. All members’ credentials have been verified to ensure the integrity of this organization and the services each member provides. NRBA strives to be a leader in bringing to the dog community accurate, reliable and factual information regarding educating the public on the whole dog approach of natural rearing. We strive to set the standard and an example nationwide of the strength of a community and an organization.
What Do You Mean by HOLISTIC APPROACH?
We are dedicated to the belief that health is a state of mind and spirit as well as body. We believe that dis-ease should be treated in a positive and constructive manner approaching the cause and not just the symptoms. Working to support and enhance the mind, body and spirit to bring balance to the ‘whole’ dog for complete physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Natural Health Care For My Dog Is New To Me.
The American Council of Animal Naturopathy (ACAN) has a very extensive small animal naturopathy course that can be taken either by the module or as study to qualify you for certification in small animal naturopathy. We are currently in the process of creating a natural rearing breeders course which should be available in the Spring of 2013.
How Can I find a Veterinary Naturopathy or a true Holistic Veterinarian or Natural Health Professional in My Area?:
Our partner, the American Council of Animal Naturopathy, lists all the certified animal naturopaths and holistic veterinarians available at this time. Our members include not only NR breeders but certified animal naturopaths and natural animal health practitioners throughout the USA and Canada. Please visit our VND and Holistic veterinarian page under REFERRAL on our navigation bar above for listings and how to contact them. All natural animal health professionals listed are degreed, licensed or certified in their respective fields and are in good standing in the community with proven track records.
Do You Have a Referral Service?
NRBA provides an on-line Referral Service to help you locate a breed specific NRBA breeder and/or a qualified, natural animal healthcare practitioner as well as mentoring consultations.
I Am Not A Breeder But Would Like To Advertise Or Be Listed On Your Site
Wonderful! We have a membership for the pet owner or holistic groomer and dog daycare provider – If you would like to join just to have access to education and/or to have your natural pet business advertised, this is the membership for you! You will be listed on our Referral Service page for only $25.00 a year as long as you maintain a reciprocal link to the NRBA and ACAN (American Council of Animal Naturopathy) on your website.
